Fortunately, the last detail is unimportant when compared to his astounding mind. Drawing on a vast practical knowledge of science, Macgyver is able to make use of any mundane materials around him to create unorthodox solutions to any problem he faces. The enemies of world peace and justice continually learn that underestimating this man is a fatal mistake for their plans. Macgyver is an enigmatic loner who often finds himself working for an organization called the Phoenix Foundation, the government, or a friend in need. He encounters all types of dangers and escapes from them not with weapons, but with his ability to create gadgets out of everyday objects. His enemies range from militant drug lords and dictators to racist store owners. No matter what he&#39;s up against, Macgyver can always defeat his foes with his cunning and his skill. Finally, a show whose hero doesn&#39;t need to be a cold blooded killer. Mac would out-smart his foes instead of out-gun them. And you didn&#39;t have to put up with all those goofy one-liners (OK, he might have gotten in one or two). More realistic than any other action series. It&#39;s just too bad it had to end! I&#39;ve grown up with Macgyver, and since I was a kid I&#39;ve loved it! Now this is one of the rare 1980&#39;s action series, were the hero doesn&#39;t just pick up a gun and start shooting at his enemies. In fact MacGyver never kills at all, and this I found very inspiringa kidwellnow.<br/><br/>And the fact that he does not always simply knock out the bad guys with his fists, he use his brain and ingenuity. Truly &quot;His mind is the ultimate weapon&quot;. And the fact that all of his &quot;inventions&quot; work in real life (although I wouldn&#39;t recommend trying some of them) just makes the show even more incredible and also to some extend: educational.<br/><br/>In many ways Richard Dean Anderson created the persona for MacGyver and I think that most would agree with me, that if any other actor were to portray him, it just wouldn&#39;t be MacGyver at all.<br/><br/>Now MacGyver is the kind of hero that no one can hate, and that we all should look up to. The show is both very entertaining and morally inspiring. This is and will always be my favourite TV series.
